Upright
E. P. is an upright red Japanese maple. It is grown for its ability to withstand the southern US climate. Fall color is a nice crimson red. E.P. will be around 18 feet at maturity.

Ed Wood (Woods #2) is a green Acer japonicum with very large leaves, named for plantsman Ed Wood. It tends to be shorter and rounder in stature than Fernleaf or Vitafolium. Fall color is an excellent orange and red.
Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a red witch's broom maple, similar to Brandt's Dwarf. Elizabeth forms an attractive columnar dwarf, unique in the Japanese maple world. Mature size probably around 6 foot tall by 3 foot wide. It has nice red fall color.
Elmwoodii
Variegated
Elmwoodii is a variegated upright Japanese maple. Spring growth is a rosy pink. The summer foliage is multicolored, a mix of green, white and red. Elmwoodii grows to be a stocky plant, to about 12 feet.

Emerald Lace is a deep green mounding laceleaf with fine Red Filigree lace like foliage. It is a vigorous grower with very pendulous branching. It is the best new green laceleaf selection in some time. It has bright red fall color, a rarity among green laceleaf.

Emmit's Pumpkin is an upright Acer japonicum with beautiful orange new growth. The plant is narrow when young but will form a round head in time to about 18'. Fall color is an excellent yellow, orange and red.
Emperor 1
Upright
Emperor 1 is the best red upright to appear in many years. It leafs out later than Bloodgood and so avoids spring frosts. It continues to grow in adverse conditions, and is the Japanese maple of choice in Texas. Emperor 1 is shorter and wider than Bloodgood, and has good red fall color.
Englishtown
Dwarf
Englishtown is a nice red, dwarf maple with tiny secondary leaves. It grows in a teardrop form; like a red version of Hanami nishiki. Englishtown holds its color well in the heat of the summer and will reach 5 foot by 5 foot at maturity.
Enkan
Dwarf
Enkan is a red linearlobum dwarf Japanese maple. It is like Villa Taranto in habit, but is slower growing and more horizontal. Enkan holds its deep red color all summer. Fall color is red.
Ever Autumn
Upright
Ever Autumn is a vigorous upright with deep green leaves. New growth is a mix of red and orange, giving the plant a two toned effect. At maturity Ever Autumn will be one of the larger palmatum varieties, possibly reaching 20'. Fall color a nice orange red.
Everred
Lace Leaf
Everred is a weeping mounding red laceleaf. It holds color well all summer. It is distinguished by silver pubescence on new growth in the spring. Everred is a hardy consistent red laceleaf. It is now called Dissectum nigrum in the books.
