Tsukushigata

Tsukushigata is a black red upright, fading to olive green. It is wider than tall. It has beautiful red seed set and bright orange fall color. Tsukushigata is about 12 foot tall at maturity. (A bay on the island of Kyushu)
Tsuma beni
Upright
Tsuma beni is a stronger grower, and more hardy than Tsuma gaki. It has glossy green leaves with outstanding red leaf tips in the spring. It will probably be 10 foot by 10 foot at maturity. Fall color is a nice orange red.
Tsuma gaki
Dwarf
Tsuma gaki has truly outstanding spring foliage, yellow green lobes with purplish red fingernails. Summer color is a dark green. In time Tsuma gaki will form a small tree to about 8 feet. Fall color is red. Shade is helpful to prolong spring colors.
Tsura nishiki

Tsuri nishiki has an interesting deeply divide green leaf. Leaves are often twisted, and have distinctive red monkey face venation on the new growth. It is a similar plant to Nishiki momiji. It will mature to a plant wider than tall, to about 12 foot. Tsuri nishiki has nice orange and red fall color.
Twomblys Scarlet Sentential

Twombly's Red Sentential is a red upright witches broom with compact columnar growth. It is not as columnar as Pixie or Skeeter's Broom, but it is an attractive fast growing tree. It has red fall color and tremendous commercial appeal.
Ueno yama
Upright
Ueno yama is brighter orange yellow in the spring than Katsura. It also leafs out after Katsura, thus avoiding some spring frosts. It is more upright than Katsura. It is probably the same tree as Ueno homare. Fall color is a bright orange.

Ukigumo is a variegated upright with outstanding white leaf, flecked with green and pink. Shade brings almost a pure white leaf. Ukigumo has pumpkin orange to red fall color and is almost columnar when young. (Floating Clouds)

Ukon is an upright with bright yellow green growth. Bark is a bright green and very conspicuous in the winter. Fall color is a clear strong yellow. Ukon is a similar plant to Aoyagi, but is a stronger grower.

Utsu semi is a sturdy green upright. Spring foliage is a soft green maturing to a deep green. Thick glossy leaves give the plant heat and wind tolerance. Fall color is a bright scarlet. (Grasshopper skin)

Variegated
Veitchii Is a variegated Acer crataegifolium with striking white and pink markings on a triangular leaf. Fall color is a rose pink to red. It forms a pleasing dense shrub or small tree. Veitchii grows best in partial shade.
Versicolor

Versicolor is a green variegated palmatum. It shows less variegation than the similar Orido nishiki. It is the fastest and largest grower of the type to about 18'. Fall color is orange and red.

Villa Taranto is an excellent linearlobum dwarf. Spring foliage comes out pink, then goes to red, then to green ,then to straw yellow, and then to a beautiful golden in the fall. Villa Taranto is slower growing than Red Pygmy or Filifera purperea, but worth the wait.

Virdis is the classic green mounding laceleaf. Virdis is a vigorous grower with bright green foliage. It has excellent orange and yellow fall color. Virdis is a more vigorous grower than waterfall.
Vitifolium

Vitafolium is a vigorous growing green Acer japonicum with grape leaf like leaves. Branching habit is more uniform than Fernleaf. It makes a strong, stocky tree to about 20 feet. Vitafolium has magnificent orange and red fall colors.

Washi no o (Palmatidum) is a strongly cascading green laceleaf. Leaves are coarser and less divided than Viridis. It makes a hardy durable plant with good yellow and orange fall color. (Eagle tail)
Watnong
Lace Leaf
Watnong, like Baldsmith, is peach orange in the spring fading to a deep green in summer. Where Baldsmith is pillowy in structure, Watnong is a strong horizontal grower. New orange growth gives the plant a two toned look. Watnong has nice red fall color.

A cascading cherry with double blooms. Form is less cascading than snowfountain giving the tree an oriental feel. Grafted at 4 and 5 feet. Fall color is yellow to bronze.

A cascading form of Tsuga, it grows as tall as staked. A gracefull evergreen plant, it needs some shade in the hotter parts of the country. Possibly sergeants weeping hemlock.

Introduced by Lustgarten Gardens of New York. Weeping kousa is of nice form more broadly cascading than the weeping florida. Flowers are white and star shaped.

Werner's Dwarf is a pleasing dwarf maple with bright lime green foliage. It will grow to a globe around 5'. Fall color is orange and red.
Werner's Pagoda

Werner's Pagoda is an upright green palmatum that layers out to form a distinctive triangular (or pagoda) shaped plant. It makes an excellent specimen. The fall color of Werner's Pagoda is a very good yellow, orange, and red.

Will's Devine is bushy variegated maple, reticulated red new growth over cream and green. Venation remains distinct throughout the season. It will grow to a wide spreading bush to about 6'. Fall color is a warm orange.

Wilson's Pink Dwarf is a beautiful small plant with bright pink and red spring foliage. The plant is somewhat delicate and probably needs some frost protection. It will form a round bush to about 6 feet at maturity. Fall color is orange and red.

Winter Flame is an excellent coral bark dwarf maple, retaining all the characteristics of it of its parent, Sango kaku. It is a better grower than Aka kawa hime or Fjellheim. It will form a tear drop shaped bush around 6 feet in ten years.

Wou nishiki is an upright green palmatum with deeply divided leaves. New foliage has bright rose margins. Fall color is an outstanding orange and red. Wou nishiki forms a round headed tree to about 16 feet.
